Okay, so maybe I'm not cut out for the sex industry....

Dammit!
So here's the story: Just for the heck of it, during my job search, I applied at a sex shop. Funny thing, they were the only ones to call me back! I got accepted after the interview, and bam! They found out I was 18, and my career was over before it started. Ah! The rollercoaster of my life!
I am currently being considered by La Source (that's the company that bought Radio Shack). I went to the interview and it was the greatest way an interview could be passed! I was doubly and triply praised by the manager, and he wrote a personal letter appealing to to the head of "La Source's" Montreal branch to let me work there because I was the ideal candidate and blabla!
On the other hand, I haven't got a call back yet. :-(
I have also been writing songs and will get a chance to play them when I come down in a couple weeks depending on the tides.
Also! I heard of plans to go to the Toronto Film festival to see Ian and Karl! Please let me know what's going on concerning that! If there is no room in whatever vehicle you are taking, I would be happy to arrange my own transportation! I want dates!!!!!

Until next time,
this is Jonah,
signing out!

Welcome to the void

Running Scared came out on friday, and of course I had to see it. The movie follows a man (Paul Walker), on his quest to eliminate a piece of evidence that would earn him and those he works for a lifetime in prison. Fantastic camera work, and twisted situations really give this movie the edge over your typical "crime vendetta" style movies. Incredibly realistic style manages to enthrall you completely. Unnecessary use of sexual content, but, if that's your thing, this one's for you.

Wow! I didn't mean for that to be a film review, but hey... It's worth seeing. I went to see it last night, and got excited because there hasn't been much out lately that's any good. For those who are interested, "The Matador", with Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear is pretty good as well.

I'm feeling meh.... so nothing about me till next time! I enjoy being written too, and I always write back! So drop me one! new email: whiffofbatgas@gmail.com

New Diet! Starts today

Hello folks,
Tonight, I start my journey into becoming a"lean mean fat burning machine!" (Very much like a George Foreman Grill!) As of tonight, no processed grains, no oil, no bread, only wholesome veggies and whole grains!
Finding another job is proving difficult! For those who don't know, my first job in montreal was a complete and utter failure!!! It was a perticularly unethical brand of telemarketing. I dare not mention the company name, for I will get sued!!!
OH!!! And for those who are interested in the film-making world; GOOD BOOK! " Rebel without a crew " by Robet Rodriguez. Don't read it without seeing both El Mariachi, and Desperado, or you'll be kind of confused. If you need inspiration to start work on a film, this book will get you "pumped"! I am serious.. This means YOU CHRIS!!!!! Or anyone else interested for that matter...

I'm off to get groceries! If anyone wants to know more about te diet, ask me or look up Mcdougall diet online! This diet really works and you can eat as much as you want! Without exercise, expect to loose 15lbs a month and with exercise at least a pound a day!!!!
Anyway, I miss you all, emailing is always good, as we have 3 computers with internet in the house. Let me know what's going on!

An outrage in medical ethics

Hey guys... I have rejoined the blogging world!
Essentially, the way this is going to work is:
Every day or 2, I will write a synopsis of what I want people to know about my life! This include many boring little insignificant things that you're probably going to want to skip through. But for the people who stick through it, every week I will have a thought or an issue that is guaranteed to provoke thought! So I would recommend checking in every couple of weeks, at the absolute max. That's the only way you'll get any gratification out of this.

So! A shout out to the people who are interested! From now on, this will be one of the easiest ways of reaching me!

And... without delay, this week's issue!

As many of you may know, my cousin, and a very close friend of mine died 2 years ago in his bed. Gabriel was a severe non- responsive epileptic. He died of a condition called SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epileptic People). Gabriel was taken to the hospital, and my uncle, Dale, was notified that because of the unusual age and optimal health of his son, a thorough autopsy would be required in order to determine the cause of death.

My uncle, being a sensitive man, requested that, before the cremation, Gabriel's organ's be returned to his body. He was quickly reassured that Gabriel would be there in his entirety when he was put to rest. Gabriel was cremated, and his ashes were kept beside my uncle's bed.

Dale and his partner kept in constant contact with St- Mary's hospital's residing pathologist in order to determine Gabriel's cause of death, and bring as much closure as they could get from the loss of their son. Three months after his death, the pathologist casually mentioned that the reason the coroner's report was taking so long was because Gabriel's brain was still under observation at the Jewish General Hospital.

Dale was shocked to hear that, when he had finally put his son to rest, his brain, the part of him that defined his life, and the hardships that Gabriel had to face with epilepsy, had not been with him. For over a year, Dale, with the help of a lawyer who specializes in medical ethics, struggled to regain posession of his son's brain. Two thousand dollars later, and through hardship and turmoil, Dale finally got back the part of his son that was missing, and quickly had it cremated, and placed with the rest of his ashes.

Dale then appealed to the hospital, asking for a formal apology, documentation, proving to him that the procedures of the hospital were being changed in order to ensure that when an organ is taken, the next of kin must have prior notification. You see, the issue is not that the brain was used for tests; the issue is that the people involved must be notified if an organ is removed, and they must also be notified of any possibilities of returning the organ to it's rightful owner.

The hospital's insurance company recently sent Dale a letter stating that they were taking no responsibility, and that they were no longer willing to negotiate any terms.

Dale is now suing them for emotional damages, and the legal costs that were spent during the recovery of the brain. He has brough the case to the media, in order to put pressure on the hospital to change it's procedures. Look him up on CTV, Global, CBC, or the Gazette's website.

I urge you to LET PEOPLE KNOW!!! We want to change this! And there is no way anything can change if people don't know that there is something that needs changing!!!!

Until next week, this is the issue. Let me know what you think!
